Can anyone tell me where this came from? Spent one night in a cave and woke up with critters all over. None seem to be taking responsibility for it though, so I don't think it's from anything in here.

[Holding an egg up in one hand, a bump from behind has Nier moving quick to catch it in his other hand, frowning and reaching back to catch the offending rumble tumbler.

A Skorupi is hissing away and flailing almost comically, where the HootHoot simply hops up and perches on Nier's shoulder. Snivy? is hissing just as much from his peek place down near his trainers side.]

Knock it off, you two. We're here to get warm, not make a scene.

Yeah. That really wouldn't be good.

Not that people can't get hurt by wild pokémon, but I haven't heard of anything really bad happening.

[The girl on the screen is just a kid herself; Nier grunts and scratches the back of his neck.]

No. This place isn't as broken down as mine appears to have been.

[Well, what could she really say to that? "I'm glad that you're not there anymore"? If Hikari was in his position, she'd want to get back there as soon as possible so that she can fix what was wrong.]

Anyway, my name's Hikari. What's yours?

Nier. [He's just regarding her for a moment before speaking again.] Care if I ask how old you are? You don't look that much older than my daughter was when I saw her last.

I'm fourteen.

[Probably a lot closer to fifteen now, actually, but still.]

... Yeah, a year older. [It's said with a sad sort of smile.] Hey, if you ever meet a girl named Yonah, help her out, alright? You seem like a good kid.

[Hikari nods.]

Alright. If she ever comes here, I'll do what I can for her.
